Using Google Docs/SMHW to easily share exam/revision resources with students

If you have useful exam resources for students on the school network and are looking for an easy way to share these resources with year 11, 12 or 13 students, why not use Google Docs and SMHW.

The brilliant thing about Google Docs is that there is no need for students to login to access the resources. Moreover, Google Docs opens all formats (e.g. powerpoint, word. pdf etc.) even if the student doesn’t have that software on their device (phone, tablet, laptop).

For an example of how this could work for your course, follow the link below to see what Denise Jarrett has shared with the GCSE English Students. She put this link out on SMHW for all year 11 students:

It is also a real bonus that parents will also have access to these resources via SMHW.

Google Accounts are free to set up and give you 15GB of storage. School accounts are also available which give you unlimited storage (contact Stuart McTiernan [smctiernan.312@lgflmail.org] for details).

Watch the short video above to take you through the simple process.
